Earth Day addition 2018

Just in time for Earth Day 2018, Animal Kingdom will see the premier of the new “UP! A Great Bird Adventure” show!

This new show will take place in the old Flights of Wonder amphitheater.

I cannot wait to see the new show, as the old Flights of Wonder show was a favorite of mine!

So make sure you catch the new “UP! A Great Bird Adventure” show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom starting April 22nd, 2018.

Here’s a couple of fun videos from my moment in the spotlight at Flights of Wonder when I was chosen as an audience participant in 2014:

What would you do if a bird that size flew right at your head???

New Star Wars Resort Coming to WDW

Coming to Walt Disney World Resort in the next couple of years is the much anticipated Star Wars Inspired Resort!

This new resort is going to revolutionize the resort experience!  Guests will actually step into the story for the duration of their stay!  How cool is that?!?!

Every window in the resort will give you a spectacular view of space, the resort itself is a starship with highly themed common areas and guest rooms, guests will have the option to dress in Star Wars inspired attire, and the resort will be connected to the new Star Wars:  Galaxy’s Edge land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (set to open in 2019).

The opening date for this new resort has not yet been announced.  There has been much speculation that this new resort will be a DVC (Disney Vacation Club) property.

Would you like to be an active participant in your own Star Wars vacation story at this new resort?

Toy Story Land Opening Date ANNOUNCED

Toy Story Land

The announcement we’ve all been waiting for…Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is opening June 30th, 2018!!!

This land will be home to three spectacular rides, and it will totally immerse you in Andy’s imaginative play space!  Get ready to feel like a toy in Andy’s world!

Alcohol now included in the WDW 2018 Dining Plan!

The 2018 Walt Disney World Dining Plans now include alcoholic beverages for guests 21 and over!

With each quick service and table service credit, you now receive either a non-alcoholic beverage or an alcoholic beverage for guests 21 and over.  For those who opt for a non-alcoholic beverage, there will be other specialty drink options to choose from (think milkshakes, smoothies, etc.).

Each year the price for the Disney Dining Plans increases slightly.  This year is no exception.  The increase from the 2017 Dining Plan price to the 2018 Dining Plan price comes out to approximately:

*$5 more per adult, per night for the Quick Service Dining Plan / $1 more per child, per night

*$7 more per adult, per night for the Disney Basic Dining Plan / $1 more per child, per night

*$10 more per adult, per night for the Deluxe Dining Plan / $1.25 more per child, per night

So for this small price increase, you are getting 2-3 (depending on the dining plan) specialty drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)  per person, per night.

What are your thoughts on this change?
