If you would like to add the Vacation Protection Plan to your DCL reservation, you MUST do so before final payment is made (I highly recommend it). Once your reservation is Paid In Full, you can no longer add the Vacation Protection Plan through Disney Cruise Line.
If you DO NOT buy insurance, and you cancel your trip:
45-74 days lose deposit only
30-44 days 50% of vacation price
15-29 days 75% of vacation price
14 days or less 100% vacation price lost
If you DO buy insurance, and you cancel your trip:
*You will get back taxes PLUS above amount (whatever you would receive if you didn’t have insurance based on number of days prior to trip).
*If you cancel for a covered reason, then you file claim, and you will be reimbursed the full amount.
*If you cancel for a NON-covered reason, then you file a claim, and you will get a voucher for 75% of the amount left for use on future DCL booking.
