When you stay at a Disney Resort, there is no need to worry about anything…even driving!
If you are flying into the Orlando International Airport (MCO), you have the option of taking Disney’s Magical Express (this service will end January 1st, 2022). The bus will pick you up at the airport and take you to your Disney Resort. Magical Express will then take you back to the airport at the end of your vacation.
Once you arrive at your Disney Resort, Disney will continue to do the driving. From the famous Monorail, to the Disney buses, to the scenic water taxis and ferries, and now the Disney Skyliner, there are many ways to get from point A to point B on Disney property. Best part is…it’s all complimentary! And if you still feel like driving your own car, then by all means, go for it! When you stay on Disney property, it costs you nothing to park at the parks. Parking for Disney Resort guests is FREE at all Disney theme parks, and Disney Springs! That savings adds up! (Be aware that there is a nightly parking fee at the resorts.)
EXTRA MAGIC HOURS! (CURRENTLY SUSPENDED FOR COVID)
Everyone likes to make the most of their time on vacation! When you stay on Disney property, you get an excellent benefit to help you do just that…Extra Magic Hours! Extra Magic Hours is a feature that is only available to those guests staying at a Disney Resort. Each day one of the four Disney theme parks offers either morning or evening extended hours to Disney Resort guests!
DISNEY DINING PLAN (CURRENTLY SUSPENDED FOR COVID)
One excellent way to save money on your Disney Vacation, is by purchasing the Disney Dining Plan. This benefit is only offered to those staying at a Disney Resort. The Disney Dining Plan is a way to pre-pay for your food, so that when you are on vacation, you don’t have to worry about a thing! There are several options available, including the Quick Service Dining Plan, the Disney Basic Dining Plan, and the Deluxe Dining Plan.
FIRST DIBS ON FAST PASSES! (CURRENTLY SUSPENDED FOR COVID)
Fast Pass is a FREE perk available to all guests of the Disney Parks! However, for those staying on Disney property, you can make your Fast Pass selections up to 60 days prior to your check-in date, while those not staying on Disney property must wait until 30 days prior to visiting the parks to select Fast Passes. This is a definite advantage to those staying on Disney property. Many of the more popular attractions will run out of available Fast Pass times quickly.
