Universal’s Express Pass

There are three types of lines at Universal Orlando’s parks:

1. Regular Line (stand-by)

2. Single Rider Line

3. Express Pass Line

All rides have a REGULAR LINE.  This line is a traditional stand-by line.  In order to see all of the amazing details at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, you will want to go through the Regular stand-by line.  These lines are shortest first thing in the morning.

Many rides have a SINGLE RIDER LINE.  The purpose of this line is to fill empty seats.  Therefore, you will most likely be split up from your party when utilizing the Single Rider Line.  If you don’t mind riding a car or two apart from your group, this is a great option.  A good estimate for the Single Rider Line is half the current Regular Line wait time (this is not always the case, but a good estimate).

The EXPRESS PASS LINE is the third option for those who have purchased the Universal Express Pass.  This line gives you front of the line access on select attractions.

There are two types of Express Passes:

1. The Universal Express Pass – this Express Pass can be purchased on a day by day basis.  You can use this Express Pass ONE TIME PER PARTICIPATING RIDE each day.

2. The Universal Express Pass Unlimited – this Express Pass can be purchased as an add on to the entire length of your park ticket, OR this Express Pass is given at no additional charge to those guests staying at Portofino Bay, Hard Rock Hotel, or Royal Pacific Resort.  If you get this Express Pass as a part of your stay at one of Universal’s participating resorts, it is good starting on check-in day through check-out day.  You can use this Express Pass MULTIPLE TIMES at each participating attraction.
